About Us
Observations
Observing the classroom in action is the best way for you to understand what Montessori is all about. An observation is typically 45 minutes to an hour in length. We encourage you to visit at different times during the year so that you can see how the children and the classroom change.
When you come to observe, we will ask that you position yourself in the room so that you seem to be part of things. We will have a chair for your, but you are welcome to sit on the floor or somewhere else in the room so that the children can go about their business. There is much to be learned through quiet observation, so we ask that you make other arrangements for your own children.
We will try to talk with you during or after your observation. If we are busy working with the children, we will arrange another time to talk about your visit and answer any questions you may have.
Please call the school at (616) 866-8419 to arrange a time to visit.
